Exhibition Sunday 3rd February 2013

I am so grateful and happy to have had so much wonderful support for the exhibition of this project! We arrived late Saturday night after a detour via Newhaven, all boxes ticked and ready to set up come Sunday morning. Over our tartiflette dinner it occurred to us suddenly, that having made a "NAKED cows Exhibition" sign for the road, we may receive visitors who would be fully expecting to see, not to mention put out if they did not see, some naked cows... so we decided to make some, the results were delightful and if you have not seen them already, then have a look at the slide show on the left. By 11o'clock we had had our first visitors and were ready, pictures hung, cider mulling and snacks awaiting nibbly mouths. And they came! A wonderful turnout of people both local and from further a field. So much positive feed back that all passed in a blur. From where I sat outside, I looked at the cottage, full with people in the warmth, drinking and eating and felt overwhelmed that they had all come. Thank you so much for all your support, thank you David and Marian for agreeing to this project and for hosting the exhibition in the cottage. It has been a wonderful experience which concluded in a very special day! Exhibition Sunday

Well, here we are, shopped out and ready to go. The weather is looking promising going from showery a few days ago, to cloudery and hopefully by tomorrow will have it Sunnery. Any weather makers out there if you fancy making some sun without wind I would welcome your intervention! :)

Framed Pictures!

WOW! Amazing to finally see the pictures framed and so beautiful! Seems that no matter the picture, putting a frame on just makes it look just that much better, I am SOOOOO excited to show you all! It's a bit of a strange one but the last time I had pictures framed was in Taipei when I exhibited at Mary Jane Pizza (its worth checking out the google translation too!) back in 2006, a good 7 years ago! Thank you so much to David at Naked Eye Gallery for doing such an amazing job! Sundays coming! :)

5 more sleeps till Sunday 3rd February and the Court Lodge Calendar exhibition. Feeling momentous that it all comes together on a single day and that there will be friends there to celebrate with us. Just to let anyone who is going know, the pub will unfortunately be closed on Sunday. We will have some mulled cider for you all and some nibbles too, but feel free to bring along some extra sustenance if need be! 10am to 5pm, Moorhen Cottage, Court Lodge Farm, Wartling, BN27 1RY.

Pictures framed, cards printed, mulled wine planned,
beautiful models on hand for meet and greet (cows).

It's here :)

On sunday the  artwork was scanned thanks to Guy Venables at studio 106 in Hove, after which like a paramedic i rushed home on my bicycle, like a surgeon operated cleanly and efficiently with my photoshop scalpel, deftly uploaded to Marian's vista print account and then called to let her know the time had come to order... and all this before lunch! Thank you all for following and if you'd like a calendar, please contact either marian or myself :)

Nearly there :)

Last night Sylvain came over and we put all of our pictures together to see the work produced during the year. It was brilliant to look back over them and finally to see how they all fit together. I was looking to do a portrait page for December with all the Hardings and farm staff to give a nice community feel but in the end had to admit that portraiture is HARD and not my forte! So instead, Sylvain and I designed a December page together around a Christmass Mandala theme... Ta da, so here some snippets for you and if all goes according to plan, The calendar will be complete by Sunday evening! Will see you all then!
